The 2016 Monstercat Mix Contest was the single greatest thing ever to happen to North American dubstep. (Honestly, I oughta make a whole page on this site solely dedicated to celebrating it.) It inspired me (and, I think, hundreds of other musicians) and showed us that a contest format was a great way to bring the best out of people.

If I could do anything with my life, I would teach. I've always loved helping people figure out how to do things, whether that thing is driving or music or math. However, when I try to teach people how to make mashups, they lose interest fast. As such, I've started hosting a few local mashup contests from time to time! Not only do they bring out the best in my community, but they're a great excuse for me to teach people new skills.
