Halo

The halo games are a delight to speed through. There's a dedicated community for this at haloruns.com, but they don't really document their strategies well, and they tend to look down upon anyone who plays videogames less than once per day. As such, I've stopped updating my profile over there, and now I just keep track of my own speedrun times. You'll notice that Infinite is not on here. I never bought it. I'm doing my best to stop supporting Microsoft (and any other companies that kill games).

Halo: SPV3 is the best Halo mod out there. It's a complete overhaul of Halo: CE. It has a few huge issues:

1. It's a mod for Halo: Custom Edition, which is no longer sold

2. It's very buggy and unreliable: each time you install it, different features don't work

3. It crashes if you try to play with a mouse

4. The writing, while being impressively entertaining, is full of typos and grammar mistakes

5. Devastatingly, it is only 1-player

Despite these issues, SPV3 is the peak Halo experience. As a game completely built around the single-player experience, it's a beautiful game to speedrun, and the SPV3 devs have added difficult par time goals for each difficulty.

Unfortunately, due to the above issues, SPV3 is rarely played, and even more rarely documented. Therefore, I don't know if all of these par times have ever been beaten. As such, and because I love this mod, I have taken it upon myself to try.

Below is my table of attempts, alongside the records that I've seen on the internet of the various levels. If you have video of someone beating one of these levels faster than what's in my spreadsheet, please contact me so I can update this table! My email is on my resume (on the homepage)
