Writing

As a kid, I was a pretty poor writer. My handwriting was atrocious, my attention span was short, and I struggled to convey my ideas in ways that other people could interpret.

However, I had a lot to say. I've always been a prolific storyteller in person, and I frequently have a new idea for a project or design that I want to build. As such, despite being bad at (and even disliking) writing, I kept at it. I first got access to a computer in 2014 (a school chromebook), and from that moment on, I was writing around the clock. It helped that I had to take public transit several times a day throughout highschool. I would hop on the train to wherever I was staying that night, whip out my chromebook, and write about whatever was on my mind. (on a related note: my backpack, with a laptop inside it, has become a permanent part of my silhouette.)

As such, I've gotten pretty good at writing. So good, in fact, that in college, I was the friend in my friend group to whom others would send their essays to be proofread. I've often said (with much love to my classmates in engineering), "what sets me apart from other engineers is that I can write."
