Ritonar
the greatest D&D campaign ever played
When I created the world of Ritonar, I kept it simple: A wizard's pet project, a pocket dimension full of his "children", was left abandoned upon his death, and the players had gotten themselves trapped in it. I wrote up many things that were about to happen in the world, both good and bad, but no real story objectives beyond "get out of the pocket dimension". What followed was the greatest D&D campaign I've ever had the privilege of DMing. I wrote it all up years after its completion. The chapters do not neccessarily correlate to the play sessions. I simply split it where I would slpit the chapters in a novel.

Chapter 1
The organizers of the 2019 games asked me to write down my experiences from organizing and playing the previous game, since it had gone so well even in the face of inclement weather. I sat down fully expecting to write 5 or 6 pages of filler material, and I ended up writing 40 pages of dense action.

Chapter 2
The story of how I got my college nickname.

Chapter 3
Until 2017, HvZ players used phone calls to coordinate. One night, however, a tiny squad of players went on a rampage so impressive that it made a permanent change in the strategy.
