Zombie Stories

shit i got up to in college

Every semester, USU holds a weeklong campuswide game of zombie tag. Buildings are safe and humans can throw sock balls at zombies to "stun" them. I have played this game 11 times. During three of those times, I was part of the council that organized it. These are all stories of things that happened during one of those 11 games.

The organizers of the 2019 games asked me to write down my experiences from organizing and playing the previous game, since it had gone so well even in the face of inclement weather. I sat down fully expecting to write 5 or 6 pages of filler material, and I ended up writing 40 pages of dense action.

Until 2018, HvZ players used phone calls to coordinate. One night, however, in Spring 2018, a tiny squad of players went on a rampage so impressive that it made a permanent change in the strategy.

The story of how I got my college nickname.

Killmore, like me, only played one game as Harbinger (Spring 2017), but, like me, he put his all into the drama of the game.

The first day of the first game of the player who would eventually become my nemesis.
