My highschool a cappella group had two tenors with clashing personalities (in a good way). Each time one of them would hit a high note, the other would go out of their way to one-up them. Cameron was a 16-year-old who just couldn't seem to start puberty but sounded beautiful. Alex was a powerful Chester-Bennington-style showstopper. I arranged this song to allow them to battle it out on stage.
